Lutheran High School North alumna receives nursing scholarship at the University of Missouri
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Karsten Klotzer of St. Louis is a recipient of the Lenore Alberty Memorial Nursing Scholarship at the University of Missouri.
This scholarship is awarded to students in the Sinclair School of Nursing who show compassion and promise in their future nursing careers.
“This scholarship is a game changer for me,” Klotzer said. “I am honored to be thought of for this scholarship as Sinclair has made me the nurse I am today, and they see the hard work I am putting into this program.”
A graduate of Lutheran High School North, Klotzer is a senior in the Sinclair School of Nursing. She excels in and out of the classroom by being involved in things such as volunteer work with her sorority and working a part-time job. Klotzer is the daughter of Rebecca Kammeier.
Last year, Mizzou awarded more than $223 million in academic scholarships.
With an average GPA of 3.7, students admitted to the Sinclair School of Nursing have the highest GPA of any major in the university, and more than 98 percent of nursing graduates find jobs immediately following graduation.
